Terms and Conditions
Version 1.0 · Effective from [PUBLICATION DATE] · Last updated: October 18, 2026
The essentials
- Free content is for learning and sharing; Career Plans are the paid service.
- Our certificates attest to what you completed with us. They are not official certifications from Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, Google or any other vendor.
- We do not guarantee that you will pass exams, get a job or earn a salary: the outcome depends on your effort and on external factors.
- Practice cybersecurity and automation only in your own or authorized labs.
- AI proposes; you decide. Verify what it suggests before applying it to real equipment.
1. Acceptance
These terms govern the use of thehouseofrouting.com and the services of The House of Routing (“THoR”, “we”), operated by [LEGAL NAME], [ADDRESS]. By using the site, joining the waiting list, creating an account or purchasing a Career Plan, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
2. What we offer
- Free content: videos, posts, challenges and courses on our social channels and on the blog.
- Career Plans: paths from point A to point B that combine several learning paths, with labs, mentoring and a certificate on our LMS. They are the paid service.
- Portal and community: registration with 2FA, profile, progress, forums and notifications.
- Features in development: the portal is being built in stages. Some features may be released as a preview version (beta), with changes or bugs; we will let you know when that is the case.
3. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Your account is personal: do not share your credentials or access to paid content.
- Turn on two-factor authentication. You are responsible for what happens with your account if you do not protect your credentials.
- Notify us immediately at [SUPPORT EMAIL] if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Minimum age
You can use the free content from age 14. If you are under 14, or under the age your country requires, you need authorization from your parent or guardian to create an account. To purchase a Career Plan you must be of legal age or have the consent of your guardian, who accepts these terms on your behalf.
5. Career Plans and payments
- Price: the price, currency, taxes and what each plan includes are shown before you pay. The price is currently [TO BE DETERMINED].
- Payment: processed through [PAYMENT GATEWAY]. If the plan is a subscription, it will renew automatically until you cancel it; you can cancel it at any time from your account and keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Refunds: you can request a refund within [N] days of purchase if you have not completed more than [N] % of the plan. This does not limit the rights granted to you by the consumer protection law of your country, which always prevail.
- Access: access to a plan lasts [PERIOD OR “while active”]. We may update the curriculum to keep it current, for example when a certification exam changes.
- Online labs: may have reasonable usage limits (time or resources) so they remain available to everyone; we will state them in each plan.
6. Certificates
When you complete a Career Plan, you receive a THoR certificate attesting to what you completed with us. It is not an official certification from any vendor or an academic degree recognized by an educational authority, unless expressly stated. Official exams (such as CCNA, AWS or Terraform Associate) are managed by their vendors and paid for separately. We may revoke a certificate obtained through fraud or impersonation.
7. No guaranteed results
We walk with you from A to B with content, practice and mentoring, but we do not guarantee that you will pass an exam or get a job, a promotion or a specific salary. The figures and testimonials we publish include their source and are not a promise of results.
8. Acceptable use and labs
By using our services, you agree to:
- Practice cybersecurity, scanning, exploitation or automation techniques only in the labs we provide or on systems you own or have written authorization for.
- Not use our labs or resources to attack, mine cryptocurrency, send spam or carry out any unlawful activity.
- Not copy, resell or redistribute paid content, or extract it by automated means.
- Not attempt to breach the portal’s security. If you find a vulnerability, report it responsibly to [SECURITY EMAIL] and do not exploit it.
- Treat the community with respect: no harassment, discrimination or illegal content.
9. AI features
- Some features (assistants, tutors or lab suggestions) use AI, and you will see this indicated. Their answers may contain errors: verify every command or configuration before applying it, especially on production equipment. The decision to apply it, and the responsibility for doing so, are yours.
- Do not enter sensitive data, passwords or your employer’s confidential information into these features.
- You may use the content you generate with our AI tools in your learning and your work, in accordance with these terms and the rights of third parties.
- Do not use our AI features to create misleading content, impersonate people or circumvent certification exam rules.
- Our own content created with the help of AI is labeled as such.
10. Community and your content
What you post (comments, projects, questions) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display and adapt it within the services, for example to translate it into another community language. You can delete it at any time. We may remove content that violates these terms.
11. Intellectual property
The House of Routing brand, THoR, the logo, the design, the classes, the labs and the materials belong to THoR or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use them for learning purposes. Cisco, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, HashiCorp, Kubernetes and the other brands mentioned belong to their respective owners; we name them only to identify technologies and certifications, without implying sponsorship or affiliation.
12. API, webhooks and integrations
Once available, you will be able to query data through the API and receive notifications via webhooks in tools such as Slack, Mattermost, n8n or Make. Keep your keys secret, respect the published usage limits and do not use the API to extract paid content. We may change, limit or retire API versions with reasonable advance notice.
13. Third-party services
Some of our content lives on third-party platforms (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, LinkedIn), and we use providers for payments, hosting and AI. Their use is also governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or their policies.
14. Changes to the service
THoR grows in stages, and we adjust the route based on what we learn. We may add, modify or remove content and features. If we remove something essential from a Career Plan you paid for, we will offer you an equivalent alternative or a proportional refund.
15. Suspension and closure
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close it if you violate these terms, with prior notice except in serious cases or where the law prevents it. Sections that by their nature should remain in effect (intellectual property, liability, governing law) survive closure.
16. Liability
We provide the services with professional care, but they are offered “as is” and may experience interruptions or errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or profits, or the effects of applying configurations learned or suggested by AI to real systems without verifying them. Our total liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in this limits the rights granted to you by the consumer protection law of your country.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION]. Before filing any claim, we invite you to write to us so we can seek an amicable solution within 30 days. If none is reached, the courts of [JURISDICTION] will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to your right to go to the courts of your place of residence where consumer protection law allows it.
18. Changes, languages and contact
We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance by email or on the portal; continuing to use the services after that date means you accept them. These terms are available in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese; in case of any discrepancy, the [REFERENCE LANGUAGE] version prevails.
